Take-home pay, minimum wage, overtime, and 13th month — tools and guides aligned with DOLE and common payroll practice in the Philippines.

How these tools fit together

Philippine payroll is rarely a single number: gross becomes net only after SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, withholding tax, and sometimes overtime or 13th-month rules. Each calculator on this hub isolates one layer so you can sanity-check payslips without mixing assumptions.

Start from minimum wage or gross if you are comparing job offers; use overtime when premiums apply; use 13th month when modeling year-end benefits. Cross-check collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and employer policy when they differ from default DOLE frameworks.

For career planning, run two to three scenarios instead of one: current salary, expected raise, and a conservative no-overtime month. The spread between scenarios is often more useful than a single-point estimate because payroll variability is normal in many industries.

What we do not automate

We do not model every regional issuance, sector table, or holiday calendar your employer uses. Night differential, meal allowances, and loan deductions are examples of items that vary by contract.

When a result matters for a dispute or filing, treat our output as an estimate and confirm against DOLE, BIR, and your HR or payroll provider.

How to read differences against your payslip

Small differences can come from rounding rules, payroll cut-off timing, or whether a company annualizes tax at each period versus using fixed monthly assumptions. Compare line by line and isolate one deduction at a time before concluding an error exists.

If the gap is large, request the payroll computation breakdown and table versions used by your employer. That document usually reveals whether the difference is from policy choice, outdated rates, or an encoding mistake.

Salary hub FAQs

Which calculator should I use first?
If you have a gross monthly salary and want take-home pay, use the salary calculator. If you only know the legal floor for your region, use minimum wage first, then layer overtime or 13th month if those apply.
Why does my payslip differ from the calculator?
Common reasons: different definitions of basic pay, pro-rated days, CBAs, bonuses labeled as allowances, or updated SSS/PhilHealth tables. Compare line-by-line with your payslip and ask HR which table version they use.
Can I use these salary tools for freelancers?
Use salary and withholding tools for employee compensation assumptions. If your income is freelance, project-based, or mixed, start with the freelancer and self-employed tax calculator because filing method and allowable deductions differ.
Do these tools include night differential and holiday pay by default?
Not by default in the base salary flow. Use dedicated calculators such as overtime, then reconcile with your company policy and actual attendance records for the exact period.
